Safeguarding good scientific practice

On January 31, 2006, the Rectorate issued a guideline on safeguarding good academic practice in the University of Vienna Gazette (15th issue, No. 112 of January 31, 2006). Safeguarding good academic practice is also the aim of the Studienpräses. If the rules of good academic practice are seriously violated, the Studienpräses must initiate a procedure to sanction this misconduct in accordance with the provisions of study law.
