Regulations and guidelines

Regulations provide support for the structured management of study programmes and curricula. They are a concretisation of the Universities Act 2002 and the statutes of the University of Vienna and thus provide the programme directors and the supporting administrative institutions with clear guidelines for carrying out their tasks.

For students, the regulations provide clear guidelines and thus contribute significantly to the transparency and understanding of procedures.

The regulations are published in the University of Vienna Gazette and enter into force on the day after publication.
