Recognition of ancillary activities in connection with COVID-19

The recognition of auxiliary activities in connection with COVID-19 was regulated in the 3rd COVID-19 Act, which was valid from 5 April 2020 to 30 September 2021.

Activities carried out in connection with COVID-19 in the interest of public safety, health care or security of supply can be recognised for studies to the extent of 4 ECTS credits per month in accordance with the respective curricula.

The prerequisite is that the activity takes place between 5 April 2020 and 30 September 2021.

All curricula in which freely selectable courses (such as  alternative extensions) are eligible. There may no subject-related internships and/or modules for individual specialisation and/or for individual specialisation and/or the elective area in the Bachelor's Teacher Training Programme through the recognition of activities that are related to COVID-19. Recognition of activities, provided they are comparable to the internships required in the curriculum is permitted (e.g. internships in the field of in the field of nursing sciences, provided that work was done in the was worked).

Activities related to COVID-19 include, but are not limited to Civilian service, military service, hospital service, nursing service and transport service for people in need of care, service for water/electricity supply, care of minors in public institutions, harvest facilities, harvest help, sale of food, etc. are accepted.
